Italian Cheese Kit

Imagine a tasty, fresh ball of homemade mozzarella drizzled with olive oil and a scattering of torn basil leaves, served with juicy ripe tomatoes and crusty bread or creamy ricotta flavoured with vanilla and served with a passionfruit coulis. The best bit is that you could be eating it in under an hour! This Italian Cheese Kit provides everything you need to make 12 batches of mozzarella and ricotta cheese at home.  Just add milk. Suitable for beginners with no cheese making experience.

If you've ever wondered how to make mozzarella or ricotta or think cheese making is complicated then you're in for a real treat.  Our Italian Cheese Kit contains everything you need to make 12 batches of Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese. The only additional ingredient you will need is 8 pints of standard full fat milk (4 pints if you want to halve the recipe and make a smaller batch).  You'll become hooked once you taste how good the results are and we even provide some tasty suggestions for using your homemade cheese.

Each batch makes around 1½-2lbs of cheese.  It's easy to customise each batch too by adding your own herbs and spices.

Each kit contains:

  • Citric Acid
  • Organic Sea Salt
  • Vegetarian Rennet
  • Butter Muslin
  • Dairy Thermometer
  • Information Booklet
  • Instruction Booklet

No artificial flavours.  Suitable for vegetarians.

The 'best before' date on your kit will be approx. 6-12 months from purchase.

You will also need a pot which holds 8 pints of milk, (or 4 if you are halving the recipe), a slotted spoon (mozzarella only) and a colander to make your cheese.  Although not essential, you may want to wear rubber gloves when working the mozzarella curds as they do get very hot.  If you'd rather make a smaller batch, you can easily halve the recipe and just use 4 pints of milk instead of 8.  Full instructions are provided with your kit.

When you run out of ingredients, just pop back to our website and re-order from the supplies section.  The muslin and thermometer contained in our kits can be reused.
